Mission

To connect US Military Veterans with resources they are entitled to through their service. Assisting with navigation challenges they may face, decrease the number of homeless Veterans, and decrease the suicide rate for Veterans. Building a support network of other Veterans and dependents to make a difference in a veteran’s life.

About Us

The organization was started to help other veterans as a result of our own struggles in navigating the system. John, a Vietnam Veteran, and his wife Renee spent years trying to get his boots-on-the-ground file. John’s compensation claim was initially denied due to a lack of records. We drove out of state to get some of his testing. The process can be long. It can be frustrating.

We struggled to locate resources in Northeastern Indiana. We needed a way to ask questions from others who have gone through the process. Maybe get advice about how it works. What should we be doing? Where should we go next? What other options are there in this area?

We cannot be the only ones who are having the same struggles. Those thoughts are what led us to start VRNI. To be able to help others in Northeast Indiana find answers and resources.
